BSI consultants have collaborated with carriers to implement systems to support all lines of P&C business including personal, commercial, specialty, excess and surplus and reinsurance. We have the skills required to lead or compliment internal IT teams. Capabilities include:

  • Consultants with extensive experience in the international P&C sector (US, UK and Bermuda)
  • Independence (not aligned with specific vendors)
  • Methodology (e.g., approach)
    • PMO/project management
    • Understanding business requirements/drivers
    • Understanding existing systems landscape
    • Understanding target systems landscape
    • Develop implementation strategy (e.g., "big bang, by line of business, geography)
    • Develop implementation plan (e.g., timeline, key milestones, deliverables)
    • Develop data migration strategy/approach
    • Define the members and structure of the implementation team (BSI and internal)
    • Define success criteria
    • Work with application suppliers throughout the process. When appropriate front the entire process (including issue resolution)
    • Execute/support commercial and legal negotiation
  • Testing
  • Training (documentation, courses, etc)
  • Coordination of the cut over to production
  • Development and implementation of maintenance/support strategy
  • Development and execution of system hand-over strategy/plan
