Gavin W Hunter: Chairman

Prior to founding BenchStrength International Gavin Hunter was the Chief Operating Officer of Rebus Systems Inc. the North American entity of a large international software company specializing in Insurance and Reinsurance solutions. In 1993 he established the US and Bermuda entities of Rebus which, prior to his departure in 2003, had collectively become the fastest growing and most profitable units of the group.

Gavin Hunter’s introduction to the insurance markets came in 1979 when he joined a Lloyd’s of London underwriting syndicate, where he stayed for 7 years before becoming the Marine Cargo and Specie Underwriter for the then largest marine syndicate in Lloyd’s. Gavin Hunter is a past recipient of the Saval Sabbatical Award from Lloyd’s.

Paul W Petty: Chief Executive Officer

Paul joined the Insurance and insurance technology industries in 2007, having been recruited from the education sector to run both the global operations for BenchStrength International and set up the UK and European branch of the business. Paul enjoys outstanding experience of organizational effectiveness from his previous career as a Headteacher and Consultant Leader specialising in turning around dysfunctional inner urban secondary schools.
